Hidden gem! Good food, quiet location, good prices, friendly staff. I’ve tried the beef empanada, roast pork sandwich, yuca fries, and coffee. All delicious. My empanada wasn’t cooked all the way through and still almost frozen in the center. They were really nice about cooking up a new one. The flavor was great.

Glad I stopped here while driving through! Enjoyed the Pan con lechon, especially the garlic sauce on it. The sandwich had a healthy portion of meat too. The maduros were especially good. Ended the meal with a colada and a friendly conversation with the owner. I would definitely try the Cuban sandwich next time. Actually, wouldn’t mind just stopping for a colada.

There are no words to describe how delicious Mr. Obed’s food is. He has a very welcoming personality and his food is so good we had to come back the next day for more. On our first day we had a Cuban sandwich, maduros and yuca frita with his signature garlic sauce; the next day we had costillas fritas, arroz blanco, yuca con garlic sauce and the best garbanzos guisados. Will definitely recommend!

The food is prepared while you wait on the raised deck. We had the fried chicken plate, steak sandwich, and fried yuca with garlic mojo. Enjoyed all of it! Paid $40 with the tip. The portions are generous. Will visit again when we are in the area. Worth the short ride from Pensacola Beach.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is hands down my favorite Spanish place in Pensacola. The owner is incredibly kind—he makes you feel like family and cooks with the warmth and love of a grandparent. Every visit has been nothing short of wonderful, and we’re always looking forward to coming back. The food is consistently delicious, and I highly recommend trying it. On our visits, we’ve enjoyed the Cuban sandwich, pan con lechón, breakfast plates, café con leche, and ham croquettes—each one full of authentic flavor. The experience reminds me of Miami all over again. If you’re looking for genuine hospitality and food that feels like home, this is the place. You won’t be disappointed!
